Animal AwarenessAssumptions, whether scientific, cultural, or spiritual, can quietly block our ability to perceive realities and receive communications from animals that fall outside familiar paradigms.
In this article, I explore how beliefs can inhibit our ability to truly hear animals. You'll read remarkable examples of animals communicating about consciousness, choice, identity, and reincarnation. These experiences invite us to listen more deeply and to remain open to truths that may stretch our understanding of life itself.

Animal Death & ReincarnationWhat if reincarnation isn’t as simple as one soul, one body, one lifetime?
In this reflective essay, I share a powerful dream recounted by a student in my Animal Communication Certification Program, a dream in which animals taught her about a phenomenon they called soul sharing. Her experience opened the door to memories of my own animal companions, including my beloved cat Chico San and to a lifelong understanding of how souls may merge, separate, and support one another across lifetimes.
Through animals, dreams, and lived experience, this story explores the malleability of souls, the concept of soul families, and the profound ways animals help us remember the deeper truths of existence. Over 2,233 miles in ten days, we visited friends, camped in new places, walked among towering redwoods, and breathed deeply of the salt marsh scents along California’s north coast beaches. We also attended an inspiring dinner and garden walk with Save the Redwoods League members at Filoli House and Gardens in Woodside, California.

Animal AwarenessThe Species Link Journal archives are filled with thoughtful and amazing articles written by beginning and advanced animal communicators. Amy Richardson wrote this article for the July 1993 issue after attending an animal communication course I taught at Spring Farm Cares in Clinton, New York. It is a wonderful example of how much we can learn from our wise animal friends when we listen to them. It shows how they consciously help us because of their evolved consciousness and love.
