Meet Penelope Smith: Founder. Innovator. Grandmother of Interspecies Communication.
Communicating telepathically with animals throughout her life, Penelope Smith discovered in 1971 that animals could be relieved of emotional trauma and other problems through many of the same counseling approaches that help humans. Her work draws from academic training in the social sciences, experience in counseling and holistic healing methods, research into animal behavior and care, and decades of firsthand learning from thousands of animals.
Since the 1970s, Penelope has been the pioneering founder of the field she named interspecies telepathic communication. Widely regarded as a leading pioneer of animal communication and known to many as the “Grandmother of Interspecies Communication,” she has helped generations of people rediscover their natural ability to communicate with animals and the living world.
Penelope is the author of the classic books Animal Talk, When Animals Speak, and Animals in Spirit, along with many audio recordings, and she was the founding editor of Species Link magazine. Her work has been featured internationally in books, magazines, newspapers, radio, and television.
Through her teaching, writings, and consultations, Penelope has developed practical, time-tested methods for telepathic animal communication and has helped train and launch the careers of many professional animal communicators around the world. At the heart of her work is the understanding that animals are sacred fellow beings and that reconnecting with them is essential for the healing of humanity and the Earth.
