ANIMAL MYSTIC
and DESERT GUARDIAN

When I first moved to Inverness, California in 1984, our local baker gave me the name “Animal Mystic.” I was using the professional title, “Animal Communication Specialist,” which had been previously shown to me in a large book on a pedestal in a powerful dream.

Animal Mystic resonated personally with how I have lived since I was a child - truly recognizing the spiritual nature of animals and communicating with them on all levels - physical to spiritual. I have always been spiritually devoted, informed by consciousness of why I came to Earth and what my mission was in this life.

In October 2005, I was propelled by Spirit to uproot myself from coastal Inverness and head to the Southwest. I moved to a log cabin in the pine forest of Prescott, Arizona in February 2006. There I learned how to gradually let go of my lifetime pattern of dedication to my work and ease into a life of nurturing, relaxed personal happiness with more time devoted to spiritual contemplation. The pioneering mission I was sent to do regarding communication and unity with all life was essentially accomplished years ago with the wheels smoothly in motion for it to continue its momentum.

When I had visions of moving to the desert, I could see my contemplative life evolving into another rich phase. I bought, my lovely pueblo style house on 5 acres of gorgeous Sonoran desert in New River, Arizona February 2015. Desert Dream, I called it — the stage for this act of my life play.

After transporting truckloads of composted garden soil from my garden beds in Prescott, planting hundreds of plants in rocky clay, and moving countless large rocks at Desert Dream for a few months, my back spasmed into an unruly pain that my daily yoga would not mend. I found a healing energy magician chiropractor who operated out of an office in Phoenix but had a satellite office in Anthem, only 14 miles away. He was a miracle worker and a fun, kind man. He was very interested in my communion with Nature and communication with animals, and I shared stories of my desert animal adventures with him.

One visit, when I got up from the table after his healing ministrations, I thanked him wholeheartedly for his good work to bring my body back into balance. He said to me, “We have to take care of our DESERT GUARDIAN.” A new title that so resonated with my life now.
