I was asked by a reader, “Do animals believe in God from birth and do they communicate with Him?”
The One in All When I first started to contemplate getting fresh answers to this question from animals, Ziggy, my black cat, was nearby. Asking him about his awareness of God, he answered with this spacious concept,
“The One in All. All That Is. All That We Are. I Am That. We Are That.”
I could feel his awareness of an open space of living essence in everything. To him, God is that which unites us all and is in us all that makes us alive and conscious. His awareness of God was not restricted to a personality or gender or an individual. He was aware of a nurturing force, an open-ended or infinite consciousness that permeated us and IS us all. I surveyed wild and domestic animals across the globe. In their awareness of God, there was no separation into deities or categories, sects, intellectual concepts, or arguments. While animals are not schooled in human religions and concepts of God, they could pick these up from human guardians or carry beliefs and communicate expressions from human lifetimes. There are countless unique variations in beings’ expression of their awareness and spiritual evolution.
The natural and universal animal understanding of God appeared to be: The One That IS, That which flows through All, The One Life, The One That is All.
With this, I experienced a great peace and openness. A pervasive sense of spiritual connection. A great nurturing vastness that dwells in all, encompasses, and is all things.
We Just Know I asked about religious figures or spiritual guides, such as Buddha, Jesus, Divine Mother or Father in their many forms or names. Animals said they could communicate with and experience these beings or essences, both while on Earth and in the afterlife or spiritual realm.
Ziggy commented, “They are The Friends of All That Is.” Other animals described these beings as, “Those who recognize All That Isand teach humans about it.” There was not a separate spiritual entity to be feared or worshipped or even loved as something different than themselves. I Am That. We Are That was a natural understanding throughout their lives. I got from the animals I surveyed, “Spiritual dimensions exist as part of the Allness. They encompass the physical dimension we live in with our bodies. We are with All That Is while we are on Earth and when we depart Earth to dwell in spiritual realms. Humans try to explain God with mental concepts. We just experience the vast Allness as part of us and as what we always are. We don’t need to be taught this. We just know.”
No Holy Wars I asked about religions and they said, “We are One Life. There is no need for us to break it down into categories of belief systems. It is all that is. We are taken care of by the essence of who we are and All That Is - the universal lovingness that you call God.”
There was no sense of better ways to look at divinity, no need for schools of thought or holy wars over who was right. Their understanding is that my Oneness/God is your Oneness/God.
From animals, I get the sense of the essential goodness and wholeness of our nature and all of Nature. Their life was in Union, Oneness, a prayer or awareness of Love, as is human life when we do not mentally separate from or smother that awareness. This also resonates with my perception of how animals, plants, and all the elements of Nature radiate or continually inhale and exhale a warm love essence that nurtures and is our true nature. We are Love and we are loved - always. The Greater Love In their 1999 millennial message to humankind that I received from the great whales, our evolutionary leaders, they also gave an answer to the question about God. We represent all beings on the Earth in love with all of life here. Our job, our glory, is to hold the entire Earth in the greater love. This greater love comes from deep within the soul, deep within the womb of birth and rebirth repeatedly borne anew into consciousness.
We are the keepers of the consciousness of all life from the beginning, not only in this realm but also in all realms. We hold the history of Earth, and all Earths, all planets, all stars, and all suns within our waters. The greatest gift we give is the gift of greater love. This greater love you call "God." We mean by God, the Great Wisdom expanding infinitely through all times and spaces.
Right now as you read our words, we send the tones of love through the waters and through the Earth to keep the evolution of consciousness on the Earth and all realms moving according to the greater plan. We are not who we appear to be in form. We are great beings whom you admire and feel are full of love, charm, and grace as we move through the waters.
However, we, like you, are much greater than the form. We dwell in all universes, in all realms simultaneously and consciously. This is the great mystery. This is the seed of the great love.
Right now, we are at a time on Earth where the great love is coming into a new form in the heart of all beings that care. We care and among you are many who care. By caring, we mean feeling the sharing of life in all forms, in all dimensions, and in all consciousness. All life is conscious. Every form of being is conscious. We all have choice to live in the greater consciousness that is love, or to live in the smaller consciousness that divides. This is the choice. The choice now is to move into the greater love that pleases the deepest heart, or to remain in the division that creates the feelings of pain and suffering. This is our choice and we as whales hold the vision, the cradle of the greater consciousness that is divine within all beings.
We ask of you that you remember your own grace. We hold this out to you. We cradle you in the infinite wisdom that is whale, water, air, earth, animal, plant, human, and that is soul embodied. We ask only that you remember that in this heart of consciousness all things are renewed. All answers are found. Nothing is denied. Nothing is unfulfilled. The deepest heart longings are found. We are satisfied in love. Love the Greater Love.
